If you’ve played those other titles, you’ll feel right at home in the Dark Knight’s plastic paved Gotham. And, if you’ve enjoyed those titles, and are looking for more of the same but with a Batman facelift, you may find this the best Lego entry yet.

Batman Lego is awesome, simply awesome. It’s great to play alone or with a friend in the story mode or without restrictions in free play.

With a great variety of levels, tons of things to smash and collect, and a loveable cast of iconic heroes and villains, LEGO Batman is a fun and enjoyable title that will appeal not only to younger gamers but to Batman fans alike.

Another fantastic LEGO game. LEGO Batman is simple enough for kids to mash their way through, but addicting and deep enough to hold the interest of their parents, and the rare game perfect for them to play together.

Variety
A cheesy, lighthearted and consistently fun merging of the Caped Crusader's comicbook world with the Lego videogame formula, which is expanded but not fundamentally changed here. The format may be getting a bit tired, but Batman is the best fit for it yet given his huge array of villains, vehicles and gadgets.

Worth Playing
While the Dark Knight might not seem the ideal candidate for the happy and cheerful Lego world, the entire affair is handled with a good-natured wink, and we are all reminded that the purpose of these games is to take us to a world where the lines between good and evil are clearly defined and evil is more a thing of comic mischief than serious malice.

While the formula is definitely on its last legs, LEGO Batman’s simple fun is engaging and even gets better as you go. The omission of online play is a disappointment, but thanks to a lineup of strong characters, more levels, and gameplay tweaked to fit the Dark Knight’s style, LEGO Batman is the best of the LEGO breed.

It isn’t a bad game; it’s just not a particularly original or innovative one. Those checking out a LEGO video game for the first time should enjoy how it plays, but those who have at least one LEGO game in the collection should try it before buying.

LEGO Batman continues using a formula that has been tried and tested and proven incredibly successful time and time again. That said; it would have been great to see some of the problems encountered in early titles remedied or improved instead of perpetuated.

Whether you’re a parent looking for a family friendly game that young kids can enjoy and play without much help or a Batman fan who always wanted to run around as a the caped crusader; the game doesn’t miss on any mark. For anyone who found LEGO Indiana Jones frustrating, this is a must buy.

Good fun, but it's really just the same thing we've seen before. I don't think the LEGO formula needs much of a change, but certainly the common issues with the series should no longer exist.

With Batman, the Lego saga achieves another new episode of pure fun. Perhaps the puzzles are easier this time, and the action of the combat isn´t satisfactory at all; but it continues being a remarkable entertainment, and a recommendable videogame to play with friends.

The charm of LEGO blocks is exploring your creativity and building new things, so Traveler’s Tales’ habit of sticking to one formula stands in stark contrast to the entire LEGO philosophy. We’ve had fun with this series, but it’s time to dump the franchise out on the floor and start piecing it back into something new.

LEGO Batman is new territory for the team at TT Games, with no memorable film scenes to recreate or iconic moments to build out of bricks. The results are surprisingly great, with detailed levels and three fun episodes of vexatious villainy for Batman to foil.

The previous games were marred by simplistic, repetitive gameplay. Lego Batman isn’t entirely free from these flaws, but puzzles are more numerous, complicated and diverse. [Nov 2008, p.115]

LEGO Batman The Videogame is the best LEGO till now. The thirty levels are, thanks to the custom made story, more than varied and offer you enough secrets to keep you busy for days. The buildings and surroundings that you see resemble the stuff that you probably built when you were just a little kid. Too bad that Traveller Tales keep making the same mistakes in their LEGO franchise.

If you're in for an easygoing pick up and play type of game you can't go wrong with Lego Batman. Like the other games in the Lego franchise this is pure fun entertainment perfectly suited for game time for parents and their children. On the downside there are few news to be found here when compared to previous titles and some puzzles are illogical and flat out poorly designed which dampens the overall experience.

It’s diminishing returns for the Lego series anyway, now amplified by an uninspiring Batman get-up. After this we can’t really get excited about any future Lego games short of one called Lego: Your Childhood.
