Summary
This isn't Pool as you know it. Multiplayer mayhem awaits 1-4 local or online players, in a race to clear the most balls from your table. Pot balls to fire at your opponents, or stockpile balls to unleash an onslaught. Master Jump Shots, Combos, Bank Shots, Kick Shots and build your multiplayer with an unbroken potting streak to unleash the devastating Inferno Mode. Alliances will be formed, friends will be betrayed, and the battle isn't over until the stat screen appears. [Dark Energy]

A great new way to play pool, a great way to play straight pool, and a great way to get friends playing together. It needs just a little more variety, but with no other faults it is an essential purchase from the Playstation Network Store and a demonstration of the quality we should now come to expect from Dark Energy Digital.

Inferno Pool plays sublimely; it's quick, intense, fun and something that keeps the player coming back for another go.

Inferno Pool may well end up being one of the hidden gems of the PlayStation Network.

A great take on a traditional game. [Issue#181, p.89]

Unfortunately the single-player mode is a little stale and at the end of the day, you can’t beat a real pool table but nevertheless, the gaming experience actually works.

While the game lacks a bit of variety in terms of game modes, Inferno Pool is definitely worth checking out not only because of its price tag but also because of its unique and unconventional presentation. If you are in Europe and looking for an original and fun pool game to play, this game will do the trick. North American players will have a blast when this game releases “soon” on PSN and XBLA.

An enjoyable, retro-infused pool game with a fiery multiplayer twist.

Inferno Pool is a cool concept hindered by slippery controls and poor replay value.

Inferno Pool doesn't have enough flair to make up for the fact that, though the idea is decent, it just isn't much fun. Sometimes a twist on a classic game doesn't pan out, and that is the case here.

Definitely try before you buy, if possible, and keep in mind that the game is only worth playing if you've got a few friends to go at it with you.

Inferno Pool is fun for a while, but the lack of interesting game modes quickly makes this a shallow game with little replay value down the line.

Just to add insult to injury, Inferno Pool started out as an iPhone app - costing a paltry 59p. Boo. [July 2009, p.97]

Chris B gave it a10:
A hugely enjoyable game, which has become a major time sink for myself and my friends.
Karl gave it a9:
Really good fun! Multiplayer is definitley the best aspect but endurance mode is an addictive single player game as well!
