Summary
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs reunites fans with Scrat, Sid, Manny and Diego in an all-new quest based on the upcoming film from Twentieth Century Fox. As the unlikely herd travels across the tundra and beyond, they stumble upon another world - a lush Dinosaur World teeming with jungles, mysterious plants, fierce dinosaurs, wild new adventures and several new friends. Taking on the role of more than six playable characters, including everyone's favorite Ice Age friends and newly introduced characters, players master their unique skills and abilities across more than 15 action-packed levels. In addition to the expanded features of the single-player gameplay, for the first time in an Ice Age game, players can team up with friends and family in eight competitive multiplayer mini-games. Experience continuously changing gameplay through more than 15 levels - Every level presents new and exciting challenges as players learn and master each character’s abilities in order to defeat enemies, traverse dangerous landscapes, avoid obstacles and escape from perilous situations. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is very sharp, lighthearted and fun game that will please younger fans of the movie with its varied gameplay, good looks and clever writing. A recommended purchase for fans of the movie.

A family-friendly, kid-targeted action/adventure that's packed with variety. Ice Age fans will love playing every stage.

This game offers such an immense variety of levels and fun gameplay that you cannot simply ignore it, even as an adult. Kids will absolutely go bananas over the fun characters, the colorful environments and the fun storyline. The only let down is a touch of the soggy control syndrome, but hey - chances are you won't care if you're a 10 year old kid.

I would recommend Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs to just about anyone looking for a totally fun and moderately challenging gameplay experience with all of the flavor and style of the Ice Age movies.

If you're over ten, though, you'll find things too easy to provide much challenge at all, so you'd better be a really big Ice Age fan if you're going to get your money's worth out of it.

Overall, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a fun game. Parents looking for a good clean game for the kids to enjoy should look no further.

The game clocks in at less than three hours with a skilled gamer at the helm, but kids interested in taking Sid and his friends on a fun journey will find plenty to love.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is an entertaining game for kids. Lots of typical Ice Age humour is interwoven in this game. The only bad thing is the length and the fact that it's all a bit too simple, so therefore platform lovers should better leave this game on the shelves.

There are plenty of fun movie-inspired platforming levels, and the unlockable multiplayer modes certainly add some replay value. If you or someone you know loves the Ice Age franchise, then this game will certainly please fans without giving them too much of a challenge.

Aside from the $50 price tag, which we think may be too high, it's a straightforward and lighthearted game that the little ones should enjoy quite a bit.

It's definitely enjoyable, just not as polished as a AAA title might be.

I personally enjoyed the variety of gameplay and chasing the Trophies for challenges, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but an Ice Age super-fan under the age of 10.

I was left wanting more, and wondering why solid gameplay sections were only used once.

While it might not turn hardcore heads, youngsters will get plenty of mileage out of Ice Age.

Ice Age may be kid-friendly, funny, and faithful to the movie, but it's also repetitive and over too quickly.

For adults there are much better options, but for kids looking for a fun time it's more than recommended.

It will be fodder for the haters who enjoy ripping things that don’t measure up to their high standards, but equally it will bring hours of fun to those that love the movie and eagerly rent the game.

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs offers a well balanced experience, with a design and art very near the strip of film that is associated with it.

Another animated movie game that just passes as a decent game for the young gamers.

The replay value ain't up to much, either. [Issue#182, p.77]
