Games Radar (in-house)
Despite the re-hashed ideas, there are more than enough unique tweaks to the formula to warrant giving Gyromancer a spin.

After an hour or so of play this one is quite hard to put down. [Feb 2010, p.63]
Game Informer
Gyromancer is not as complex or demanding as many of the big name titles on retail shelves, but high production values and polished gameplay carry it a long way.

A brave effort with interesting puzzles, but boring RPG elements really make you want to see how PopCap alone would have handled the same concept. [Mar 2010, p.84]
Edge Magazine
It's easy to assume that Gyromancer is a clone of Puzzle Quest...The truth, perhaps, is that it's simply an improvement on the formula. [Jan 2010, p.98]
PC Zone UK
This is one for gem completionists, but it won't be raising any bars or breaking any moulds. [Feb 2010, p.84]
LEVEL (Czech Republic)
Connect stones to harm your opponent – sounds familiar? There are many better games with similar concepts so try this one only if you've played them all... [Issue#187]
RPGamer
While the game has a lot of potential and is shiny on the surface, it lacks the depth and accessibility that prior puzzle-bending titles have offered and serves up a game that's ultimately a Bejeweled Twist variant done up pretty.

Aaron P. gave it a9:
It's very pretty and serves up a heaping spoonful of Popcap's trademark crack. having both Square-Enix and Popcap team up was a fantastic idea. Sure, it feels like Bejeweled Twist with a makeover, but it's cheap and very entertaining. Perfect time-killing game.
